rubyAfter a very long layoff from blogging, I’ve decided to jump back in. If you were in the small minority that followed me in the old days, I typically posted tidbits and tutorials related to the Microsoft world – C#, ASP.NET, etc. I still do a fair bit of work in the Microsoft arena for my day job, but my true love these days is Ruby (I heart you! Call me!).

I’ve spent my nights and weekends tinkering and hacking at side projects and open source stuff in the Ruby / Ruby on Rails world since 2006 and can’t get enough. So this blog will primarily be an outlet for me to discuss Ruby, Rails, JQuery (my second love), web design and anything else that interests me.

Mixed in with the occasional tidbit, tutorial series, or announcement post, you’ll notice a couple of running features:

  • Chain Links – These will be a collection of links (mostly Ruby/Rails related) that I come across in my daily travails across the internets that I think might interest you, the faithful reader. Paraphrasing a favorite quote from an old college satirical newspaper – this will be a daily feature, published sporadically. ;-)
  • Design Props – A designer I am not, but I know what I like in a good design. When I spot websites (or parts of websites) that I lerv, I’ll post screenshots here to use for inspiration on my own sites (and for you to use on yours).
  • What I’m Reading – This was a staple on my old blog and I’ll continue it here. I’m an avid reader – technical, fiction, biography, you name it. So from time to time, I’ll post a list of books I’ve been reading with a short review and thoughts about each.

Hope you enjoy the new blog.
